Good afternoon Argos! Believe it or not is has been extremely quiet and calm here in Student Activities over the past couple of days. New Student Orientation has calmed down for two weeks, thus giving most of us a “break” from setting up, presenting, etc. This is an opportune time for me to focus in on a couple of Homecoming-related assignments as well as recap on a couple of things that I may have overlooked throughout the past couple of days / weeks. It is hard to believe that the summer is almost over and that UWF’s sixth Orientation session begins Thursday, July 12.
First off, I hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July. On this weeks agenda I would like to finish the tri-fold display for Orientation as well as some documents for our on-campus organizations to have so that they can find out how to get involved with this years festivities. This morning I worked on a FAQ sheet that will go on the UWF HC Page, which basically describes the who, what, where, when, and why of HC 2012. We would like for our students (new or old), faculty, staff, Alumni, and Pensacola community members to be aware of some items that they will get to take part of throughout October 1st – 6th, thus this will be a great reference for these individuals.
Around 4:00pm this afternoon I will be meeting with Megan, our Public Relations Director, in regards to bettering our connection with Homecoming’s Facebook Page to other previously established UWF pages. I am looking forward to seeing what all we can do to enhance HC’s presence to the UWF community and residing Pensacola area.
At this point in time, these are all of the current updates that I have for Summer Planning for Homecoming 2012. Next week we will resume our weekly E-Board meeting as well as Orientation Sessions.
Do not forget to check us out on Facebook and Twitter! 87 days until Homecoming 2012.
